It’s a new modern era!

Taking a break from Ancient Dungeons, and working on a new resource pack:

It’s the next installment from the Fantastic Buildings set; Modern!

I remember a lot of nay-sayers when Fantastic Buildings: Medieval was announced. There were people who complained that it didn’t offer them enough freedom, as they wanted to make their own buildings. But you know what? I’m not catering to them – I’m catering to the people who just want to plop down a pretty house and focus on their story and developing characters or making cool battles. Not everyone is gifted in the art department, not everyone can make really cool buildings with a complete autotile set. So that’s why Fantastic Buildings is a thing, to give people the option to have awesome buildings without having to lift a finger for it.

And to the nay-sayers; it’s actually quite popular 😉

Sale over!

The IGMC sale for Celianna’s Tileset and Celianna’s Parallax Tiles is now over. Thank you all to those who purchased, I wish you good luck.

So what am I currently working on? I am taking a bit of a break from Ancient Dungeons, and working on the next Fantastic Buildings entry; Modern! That’s right, modern buildings for you. That means cozy homes and skyscrapers. No ETA yet, but hopefully by next month I can show off a lot of progress. It will also include a few autotiles for streets and grass.

Random note: did you know the streets and sidewalks in Modern Day Tiles were made by me? That’s why they’re based on Dutch sidewalks 😉

Ancient Dungeons: Base Pack released!

buy

It is finally out! The highly anticipated Ancient Dungeons: Base Pack is completed. You can get it for €40 (without tax), and that’s the non-RM version!

This tileset does not contain any dungeon-specific tiles. There will be expansion packs created for each dungeon in the future.

Check out the various screenshots over here.

Oh, I’m also letting my sale run until halfway July, due to IGMC being delayed a month later.

Ancient Dungeons teaser

Ancient Dungeons, my latest tileset, will have an early july release. That means I’m still hard at work on finishing this before the end of the month.

I’ve got Candacis helping me out, who gives back great feedback, and she’s made a couple of sample maps for me. Here’s some teasers!

Ancient Dungeons

Ancient Dungeon Tiles is now renamed to Ancient Dungeons. I thought it over and over, and I think it’s best to split the pack into several little packs. This drives down the cost, and means I can release it faster.

First what will be released is the Base Pack. This will include enough to make a medieval city. It will contain no dungeons. Then, any dungeon released afterwards will be its own pack, so you can pick and choose which one you like – plus they’re cheap. I will also release an extras pack, this will add onto the base pack and include things like snow and desert tiles, as well as more interior tiles.

Had I done everything together … the pack would have been priced at something like $60 to justify the amount of materials in it. But that’s neither appealing to my audience or me. Hence why it’ll be split up into little packs, and I will keep on adding more to it.

Hopefully, I will be able to rush the base pack in time for the Indie Game Maker Contest, which means I need to have it done by the end of May! Thank god I’ve already finished a lot of content, all the autotiles are done for example, I just need to focus on some exterior tiles and some interior tiles for a castle.

Science!

On April 1st, I announced I was working on some sci-fi tiles. To some who may know me, I loathe sci-fi tiles, I really don’t like drawing them. So everyone of course, assumed I was joking.

I wasn’t.

Enjoy.

Terms are the same as my other parallax tiles.

And another tileset is finished

This is a small tileset meant for an adventure game that I finished. It only has a few exterior and interior tiles 🙂

Working on something…

Sideview walls, awesome, right? No, it’s not. They’re annoying to make. As for what they’re for – well it’s a (small) new tileset. One I can’t disclose much information on, but will be freely available!

Different plan

I’ve been creating Ancient Dungeon Tiles for a while now, but have been putting it off as other projects kept coming that had priority. Sadly this means it’s still not finished. However, I’ve come up with a proposal, and so Ancient Dungeon Tiles will not become available in the RMW store anymore, but it’ll be used for something else. Don’t worry, you can still buy it once it’s finished 🙂

That said, it’s still on hold as other projects take priority. Once those are finished I can go my merry way again drawing tiles.

Progress on nature tiles

Made some progress on my exterior TileB of the Ancient Dungeon Tiles. It includes 5 different trees (3 different types), and now has a cliff that can stand in the (non animated) water. It’s basically finished now. I might add a snow version in the second part.

Interior is coming along as well.
